The Ohio Manufacturing Technology Small Business Development Center is able to assist you in identifying and addressing your business management concerns. The Ohio MTSBDC, an affiliate of The Edison Materials Technology Center are professionals with expertise in many aspects of business management including One-On-One Counseling, Financial Assistance Information, Marketing Strategy & Planning, Cash Flow Analysis, Accounting & Financial Management, Benchmarking Assessments, Market Opportunity Analysis, and Business Plan Preparation. Services are free of charge.

The Ohio MTSBDC has a wealth of information on specific issues, such as international trade, patents, trademarks, and financing.

 

MTSBDC  provides an initial interview in which a client's needs, problems and opportunities are diagnosed and a plan is developed to fill those needs. A counselor will analyze your situation and assist you in solving specific concerns or arrange sessions with experts, such as accountants, lawyers, and other professionals.

Phase 1 begins with a detailed assessment process:

  •  Prepare a summary of the internal and external factors affecting your company.
  •  Review your company's financial history, business goals, and operations.
  •  List a number of options and offer recommendations for accomplishing your goals.
  •  Provide you with a list of resources you can use to implement the project.

Phase 2 is implementation

  •  A variety of services are available. MTSBDC will assist you directly or identify and contact the appropriate outside resources if necessary.
